The Chris Waller trained champion mare Winx galloped at The Valley on Tuesday morning with raceday jockey Hugh Bowman keeping the mare under a big hold down the back and across the top straight before allowing the mare to stretch out in the main straight.

Winx, currently the $1.20 favourite with TAB.com.au for her fourth Group 1 WS Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley on Saturday, was clocked at 1.11.07 for 1000m and 24.39 for the final 400m watched by a large crowd in attendance for The Breakfast With The Best.

The final field and barrier draw will be announced later Tuesday morning.
